Many of our regular communications channels are unavailable to us due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To address this, we have increased the frequency of our Updates to enable us to share relevant information and keep you updated on current news, information and funding opportunities. We hope you find this useful.

Collation of detail regarding mature products and solutions which may help in our response to COVID-19

Thank you to those who have submitted offers of COVID-19 support from across the UK. To date, JSaRC have received over 230 responses which have been collated and directed towards the CCS process.

If you have an idea that is related to supporting the Home Office’s COVID-19 response, please email it to JSaRC@homeoffice.gov.uk. Please make your email subject: ‘COVID-19 Products and Solutions Response’.

 Open call for proposals – The UK Space Agency (UKSA)

The UK Space Agency (UKSA) calls for activities to facilitate the quick integration and deployment of sustainable solutions to help alleviate stress on the UK healthcare ecosystem due to COVID-19, making use of space-based products and services. Further information is available here.

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) are inviting proposals for short-term projects addressing and mitigating the health, social, economic, cultural and environmental impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak. Further details on the requirements and how to apply is available here.

DASA Competition – Countering IEDs by novel technology and techniques

The Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA) is launching a competition to rapidly develop novel technology and techniques to boost the UK’s life-saving counter-IED or homemade bomb capability. Full details and requirements are available here.

New ACT app launched 

Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) have recently launched a new ‘Action Counters Terrorism’ (ACT) app to provide the latest security advice and training products, including ACT e-learning. Further information is available here.

Annual Plan 2020/21 – National Crime Agency (NCA)

The Annual Plan sets out the NCA’s operational priorities for the year ahead and how the NCA will lead a ‘whole-system’ response to serious and organised crime. The Annual Plan 2020/21 can be found here.
