Welcome to the latest JSaRC Update.
JSaRC at IFSEC International 2019
Last week JSaRC attended a very well-received IFSEC International Exhibition at London ExCeL. The team were based on the Government Pavilion alongside the Defence and Security Accelerator (DASA), The Department for International Trade, Defence and Security Organisation (DIT DSO) and the Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE). JSaRC hosted several successful 1-2-1’s each day with visitors from industry and academia.
DASA & FASS Trialling Competition
The Future Aviation Security Solutions (FASS) programme is running a competition seeking proposals for the trialling and testing of novel and innovative prototypes that have the potential to improve airport security. The FASS programme is a Department for Transport and Home Office initiative. The initial stage of this competition requires the submission of ‘one-page pitches’ and closes on 2 July 2019. JSaRC New Industry Secondees
The JSaRC team is delighted to be joined by new industry secondees Dominic Northey, Beth O’Connell and Chantal Pearson. Dominic and Beth arrive from Sopra Steria, whilst Chantel will be joining us from Microsoft. The combined skills of the new secondees will enable JSaRC to expand their expertise and deliver and engage on a wider range of projects across Government.
JSaRC Open Day: 24 July 2019
JSaRC will be hosting the next Open Day 24 July 2019. These are informal events, enabling organisations from the security industry and academia to meet the JSaRC team and obtain an insight into what we do and how we might help with engagement across government. JSaRC Open Days are very popular and spaces are limited due to capacity and resources. All requests to register are subject to review. Open Days are suitable for representatives from across the whole spectrum of the security industry and academics with a special interest in this field. We welcome small and medium sized organisations as well as larger enterprises. Please register your interest here. We will be in touch with more details to confirm your place.
